“Reallabor Energiezukunft" (future-energy laboratory): Oberfrankenstiftung is supporting the University of Bayreuth’s cooperation project on the Wunsiedel site to the tune of € 5 million

The Centre for Energy Technology (ZET) at the University of Bayreuth is receiving € 5 million euros from the Oberfrankenstiftung foundation for a new research and development project. Together with the town of Wunsiedel and the WUN H2 GmbH company, in which Wunsiedel municipal utilities, SWW Wunsiedel GmbH, Rießner-Gase GmbH in Lichtenfels, and Siemens AG all have stakes, the University of Bayreuth will further promote the storage and energetic use of "green" hydrogen, and trial it on site.

Read mor about the project in the Presse release No. 166/2020 of the University of Bayreuth (in German language) from 02.12.2020.
