The University of Bayreuth - a place for collaborative hydrogen research

Last Wednesday, the seminar "Hydrogen Research and Technologies at the University of Bayreuth" took place with the aim of further promoting and expanding cooperation among faculties. Scientists from eleven chairs and research institutes from three faculties of the University of Bayreuth informed about their competences and projects in hydrogen research. It became evident how diverse the research topics are within the entire processing chain of hydrogen from its production to logistics with storage and transport to utilization at the University of Bayreuth. The seminar was organized by the Center of Energy Technology (ZET) Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dieter Brüggemann, Director ZET and Matthias Welzl, Coordinator for Hydrogen Research and Technologies. The feedback at the end of the event was consistently positive. In an open panel discussion, further opportunities and suggestions for the focused expansion as well as the internal and external networking of competences in the field of hydrogen were discussed.
